Southland Leisure Centre

ENMAX Energy was the solar provider for Southland Leisure Centre. This 600-panel array, the largest in Calgary,  will offset a portion of the facility’s electricity usage and help support the City of Calgary’s commitment to reducing greenhouse emissions.

Each year, the system is expected to produce 160,000-180,000 kWh of electricity, that’s equivalent to the power used by 21-24 average homes and will save 104-117 tonnes of GHG emissions (such as CO2) compared to grid electricity in Alberta.

This project was supported in part by a contribution from the Climate Change Emissions Management Corporation (CCEMC).
